The Job – What Is it?

This full-time position serves as the Health and Wellness Promotion Coordinator within the Staff Care Services/ USAID Staff Care Service Center contract. As a core member of the Staff Care Center team, the incumbent is involved in the daily operations of the Staff Care Center Services.

Qualifications

  • The Health Promotion Coordinator shall have a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Promotion, Health and Wellness Management, Health Education or other health related field.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience working with a health promotion program is required.
  • A minimum of three years’ international experience required.

Responsibilities

The contract team is committed to being results-oriented. As such, the Health and Wellness Promotion Coordinator is expected to achieve the following results.

  • Responsible for supporting Health initiatives regarding health and wellness promotion and oversees the Lactation Program. The Health Promotion Coordinator develops and conducts health education and fitness programs, challenges, and educational workshops to employees, including webinars to remote staff.
  • Provide operational wellness/fitness services for the Wellness Fitness Program and serve as the “Point of Contact” and provides complete monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. This individual shall evaluate and track participation and utilization in all health promotion and communicate to Agency employees about upcoming programs and initiatives.
  • Manage the Lactation Program. Manage the roster of new participants, ensure lactation rooms’ supplies and equipment are stocked, clean, and in working conditions. Support requests for new and developing lactation rooms in Washington and overseas as needed.
  • Manage the Quiet Room Program. Monitor utilization, ensure quiet rooms’ supplies and equipment are stocked, clean, and in working conditions. Support requests for new and developing lactation rooms in Washington and overseas as needed.
  • Deliver high quality health and wellness promotions services to USAID employees and their family members consistent with professional standards and Staff Care Service Center processes. These services may be delivered in-person or via telephone, VOIP or other means to communicate with clients “virtually.”
  • Maintain timely, accurate records of activities and provide reporting, monitoring and evaluation data on activities as required by the Program. Collaborate with the other Service Center clinicians, USAID Social Workers, and other partner organization service providers for effective service provision.
  • As assigned, identify, develop, and revise health and wellness program and operational practices for the Staff Care Center and the Staff Care Service Center.
  • Participate in promotional and outreach activities to educate USAID employees and family members about the Staff Care Center, Staff Care Service Center and how to access the Program services. This may include events such as Service Center tours, Staff Care Program presentations, brown bags, and open house activities.
  • As a core member of the Staff Care Service Center Team, will participate in other activities related to Staff Care Center Operations including short-term overseas assignment. Work individually and collaboratively with team members, as needed based on scope of project.
  • As employee and family needs and USAID priorities evolve, results may be revised over the life of the Program.
  • Other activities as assigned.
