Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Support in recruitment and HR processes:
• Assist in preparing presentations and information sessions (recruitment process, flexible work arrangements, performance evaluation etc.)
• Help organize and update induction materials, including trainings and welcome kits
• Support colleagues in onboarding activities and induction follow-up

2.Internal communication and knowledge sharing

• Contribute to internal HR communication, keeping colleagues informed about HR updates and global HR initiatives
• Assist in developing and implementing an internal communication action plan
• Conduct research and follow up on HR best practices to share with the team


3. Administrative and operational support & Analytics
• Track ongoing tasks and daily requests from colleagues
• Monitor and follow up on HR requests/enquiries reported in UNall (the UNDP internal platform for tracking HR/administrative requests and incidents)
• Support HR analytics activities, including preparing reports and dashboards

Other:
Support other/ad hoc activities as seen relevant and needed.

Required Skills and Experience

Education:

To be eligible for the UNDP internship programme, applicants must meet one of the following criteria at the time of application:

- Be enrolled in a postgraduate degree (such as a Master’s or higher);
- Be in the final year of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent;
- Have recently graduated from a university (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or higher) and start the internship within one year of graduation;
- Be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship programme where the internship is a requirement

INTERNSHIP CONDITIONS

  • Internships at UNDP are remunerated through a stipend. For in-person internships in Tunisia, the stipend is set at 477.79 TND per month.
  • The stipend is intended to help cover basic daily expenses (e.g. meals and transportation at the duty station).
  • All other costs related to travel, visas, passports, accommodation and living expenses remain the responsibility of the intern or their sponsoring institution.
  • Interns must provide proof of enrolment in a valid health insurance plan for the entire duration of the internship. UNDP will not cover medical insurance costs.
  • UNDP accepts no responsibility for costs arising from accidents, illness or death incurred during the internship, nor for loss or damage to personal effects.
  • Interns are not staff members and may not represent UNDP in any official capacity or commit resources on its behalf.
  • Interns are expected to work full time; however, flexibility may be allowed to accommodate academic requirements.
  • Interns are not eligible to apply for or be appointed to staff or non-staff positions within UNDP during the internship period.
