Job Description – Systems Architect / Data Engineer
Essential Tasks
Systems Architecture
Design, build, and manage efficient data pipelines and supporting architectures to ingest, store, retrieve, and analyze data across multiple systems.
Align architecture, data models, security, and performance with organizational priorities and departmental roadmaps; maintain the overall data warehouse strategy.
Translate business requirements into high-performance architectures, pipeline designs, and technical solutions.
Implement and maintain data integration processes to ensure accurate and efficient information flow across multiple business systems.
Research and implement solutions, including third-party integrations, to enhance the enterprise architecture ecosystem.
Systems Governance and Planning
Continuously monitor and optimize existing integrations and configurations; troubleshoot and improve efficiency and reliability as needed.
Define and implement data governance policies and best practices to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including process models, specifications, and diagrams for the data warehouse and system integrations.
Coordinate workstreams effectively, engaging with multiple internal project teams and external contractors.
Drive the development lifecycle to deploy system changes, including effort assessments, technical development, user testing, and data migration.
Required Qualifications
5–7 years of experience in a related role.
Snowflake SnoPro Core Certification is required.
Minimum 3 years building new schemas and data warehouses using Snowflake, Snowpark, and SnowDDL.
Minimum 3 years using data management and integration tools such as Workato.
Significant experience with data modeling structures, data warehousing techniques, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
Experience gathering and documenting ETL/ELT requirements.
Experience building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines using tools such as dbt, Airflow, and Fivetran.
Proficient with version control systems (Git/GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket) and documenting code for collaboration and maintainability.
