Duties and Responsibilities
This position is located in the United Nations Information Centre in Canberra (UNIC Canberra), within the Information Centres Service (ICS), Department of Global Communications (DGC). The UNIC is part of the global network of United Nations Information Centres (UNICs), and UNIC Canberra is the principal source of information about the United Nations system in Australia, Fiji, Kiribati, Nauru, New Zealand, Samoa, Tonga, Tuvalu, and Vanuatu.

The duration of the internship is 6 months during an academic semester. The internship is UNPAID and part-time. Interns work two (2) days per week (14 hours), part-time, under the supervision of the National Information Officer and other office staff.

Applicants must be a student in the final year of the first university degree (bachelor or equivalent), Master’s or Ph.D. Programme or equivalent, or have completed a Bachelor’s, Master’s or PH.D. Programme.
