Duties and Responsibilities
The internship is based in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Section within the Programme Support and Management Service (PSMS) of the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).
The Intern will work under the supervision of the ERP Team and collaborate with internal clients and counterparts across headquarters and field operations, gaining exposure to digital transformation initiatives and enterprise systems that underpin the effective delivery of OHCHR’s human rights mandate worldwide.
The Intern will support the work of the ERP Section by contributing to administrative coordination, data management, and stakeholder communication related to ERP-enabled business processes. The internship provides practical learning opportunity at the intersection of digital transformation, enterprise resource planning, and operational support for human rights programmes.

No prior professional work experience is required for this internship. However, familiarity with data management, process analysis, administrative support, or information systems is considered an asset.
Applicants should demonstrate strong organizational and time-management skills, a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, and effective written and verbal communication abilities. The ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team environment is essential.
Desirable technical competencies include proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, as well as exposure to data entry, basic reporting tools, and introductory use of AI-enabled applications to support administrative or analytical tasks.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official United Nations language is an advantage.
