International Recruitment Coordinator

Job Description

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:

The International Recruitment Coordinator supports a wide range of recruitment activities related to staffing home office, proposal, and project positions. This position must provide excellent customer service, demonstrate initiative, take ownership of responsibilities, and complete projects with positive results. An ideal candidate will be organized, results-driven, detail oriented and able to execute tasks independently with a high level of accuracy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Home Office, Proposal, & Project Recruitment Support

  • Support the HR and Recruitment team with the home office full recruitment cycle;

  • Support proposal and project recruitment (reference checks, employment verifications, interview scheduling, preparation of job descriptions, write advertising copy and marketing materials, and improve recruitment-related templates and materials);

  • Coordinate interviews utilizing Microsoft Outlook and Teams across all time zones;

  • Conduct initial screening of applicants;

  • Generate and update tracker for job postings; and

  • Prepare offer letters and assist with hiring and onboarding new staff.

Strategic Recruitment Support & External Marketing

  • Conduct market research, coordinate materials for external and internal events, career fairs, field visits, and conferences;

  • Assist and coordinate logistics for career events in the office and offsite;

  • Assist in sourcing candidates leveraging social media channels and creative sourcing techniques to attract talent and develop candidate engagement for the current and future opportunities as needed;

  • Grow and maintain relationships with potential candidates;

  • Assist with the annual recruitment strategy;

  • Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement to existing recruiting processes; and

  • Utilize and maintain Cardno’s applicant tracking systems (WorkDay and JobAdder).

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • 0-3 years of professional experience in HR or related field.

  • Experience of managing / supporting HR projects.

  • Fluency in English language required, proficiency in a second language preferred.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • One year of experience or interest in mission driven work with an international focus.

  • International experience (i.e. living, working, studying abroad).

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Knowledge and experience in recruitment and selection and/or HR generalist duties.

  • Knowledge of international donor project implementation requirements.

  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.

  • Ability to exercise sound and timely judgment and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and creative team player.

  • Ability to take responsibility for assignments, work independently, with minimal supervision, meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple, competing priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to be professional, calm, flexible, resilient, solution-oriented, and creative.

  • Ability to remain poised and focused in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to build and maintain cooperative and productive relationships with a diverse group of contacts.

  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, cross-cultural and creative problem-solving skills.

  • Strong customer service orientation and skills.

  • Highly proficient in MS Office applications, preferably including SharePoint.

  • Familiarity with Workday or another HRIS system is preferred.
