Walderhalt für Klimaschutz, Biodiversität und Entwicklung stehen im Zentrum der Arbeit des Sektorvorhabens (SV) Internationale Waldpolitik. Wir beraten das Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ) zu Themen der internationalen Waldpolitik und Waldfinanzierung. Als diverses Team mit einem breiten Erfahrungsspektrum bringen wir Umsetzungserfahrungen und Innovationen in internationale Partnerschaften, Initiativen und Finanzierungsmechanismen zum Walderhalt ein. Weiterhin unterstützen wir das BMZ innerhalb der GNU (Germany, Norway, UK) Partnerschaft, bei der Erfüllung des Globalen Biodiversitätsrahmens und bei der entwicklungspolitischen Positionierung und Öffentlichkeitsarbeit. Zur Unterstützung unseres Teams bieten wir einen Praktikumsplatz an, der spannende Einblicke rund um das Thema „Internationale Waldpolitik in der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit“ bietet.
Ihre Aufgaben
Im Rahmen ihres Praktikums haben Sie folgende Aufgaben:
Sie arbeiten im Tagesgeschäft mit und lernen die Arbeitsweise des Sektorvorhabens und der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) kennen
Sie werden insbesondere einen aktiven Beitrag zum Wissensmanagement leisten. Hierzu zählt u.a. Unterstützung bei Recherchen z.B. zu aktuellen Entwicklungen in der Waldpolitik oder den Rechten von Indigenen Völkern im Themenfeld Wald sowie die Zuarbeit bei der Erstellung eines monatlich erscheinenden Newsletters (auf Englisch)
Bei Bedarf unterstützen Sie das Team bei der Planung, Durchführung und Dokumentation von Veranstaltungen
Zudem leisten Sie Unterstützung bei der Erstellung von Fachpublikationen, Präsentationen und fachlichen Stellungnahmen zu aktuellen Themenkomplexen der internationalen Waldpolitik
Ihr Profil
Studium, bevorzugt im Bereich Forst, Umweltwissenschaften, Management Natürlicher Ressourcen, Umweltökonomie oder Politikwissenschaften, bzw. in verwandten Studiengängen
Sehr gute PC-Kenntnisse (insb. Microsoft Office Anwendungen)
Sehr gute Sprachkenntnisse in Deutsch und Englisch. Sprachkenntnisse in Französisch und/oder Spanisch von Vorteil
Erfahrungen in der Organisation von Veranstaltungen
Erste Auslandserfahrungen im Bereich Entwicklungszusammenarbeit wünschenswert
Gute Selbstorganisation, pro-aktives Handeln, Belastbarkeit, Teamfähigkeit und interkulturelle Kompetenz

We advise our clients and partners on drawing up plans and strategies, place integrated experts and returning experts in partner countries, and promote networking and dialogue among international cooperation actors. Capacity building for partner-country experts is a key component of our services, and we offer our programme participants diverse opportunities to use the contacts they have made. We also give young people a chance to gain professional experience around the world – exchange programmes for young professionals lay the foundations for successful careers in national and international markets.
Who we work for
Most of our activities are commissioned by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ). GIZ also operates on behalf of other German ministries – in particular the Federal Foreign Office, the Federal Environment Ministry and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research – as well as German federal states and municipalities, and public and private sector clients both in Germany and abroad. These include the governments of other countries, the European Commission, the United Nations and the World Bank. We work closely with the private sector and promote results-oriented interaction between the development and foreign trade sectors. Our considerable experience with alliances in partner countries and in Germany is a key factor for successful international cooperation, not only in the business, academic and cultural spheres but also in civil society.
