Scope of the Programme:
The Access to Security and Justice Programme (ASJP) is a DFID programme to support the Government of Sierra Leone to implement its Justice Sector Reform Strategy and Implementation Plan 2011-2013 (JSRSIP II) and other, relevant policy commitments to improving access to security and justice for the people of Sierra Leone. The programme works with government ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs), civil society and others.
About the Role:
We are seeking a Justice Delivery Adviser, based in Freetown to implement programme objectives in relation to local justice (through Local Courts, paralegal and mediation services and the Chiefdom structures) and to support the national government ministries, departments and agencies to fulfil their mandates with regard to security and justice.
ASJP works in eight focal districts and in Freetown. We prioritise people living in marginalised, rural and remote communities and we emphasise security and justice for women and girls. The post-holder will travel frequently to our focal districts.
