Job Description

The Project Development and Support Division (PDS) is conducting a search a Learning Engagement Specialist to work with our InDepth Team. The engagement specialist works collaboratively across the organization to communicate and engage with business partners to embed and sustain learning solutions. Further, the engagement specialist will monitor and evaluate InDepth’s global initiatives through data and trend analysis to ensure our workforce is able to access, share, curate and create learning content and work closely with advisors and senior specialists across the InDepth Team to design, deliver, and maintain enterprise learning content and curricula. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identifies opportunities to foster a culture of learning through improved and innovative communications, outreach, community building, and staff engagement
  • Draws on experience measuring impact and effectiveness through analysis and analytical tools, methodically measures the results of our efforts, and suggests ways to improve engagement and impact through such analysis
  • With the advisor and senior specialists, develops overall strategy for dissemination of existing enterprise training programs to a global audience
  • Implements overall strategy to communicate learning solutions and resources to drive user awareness, engagement, and feedback
  • With the advisor and senior specialists, works collaboratively with business lines to understand business needs and helps drive enterprise solutions and tools into business line processes and procedures
  • Manages relationships with relevant subject matter experts to best understand the stakeholders and their work to meet learning program objectives
  • Facilitates meetings with subject matter experts and business line leaders to identify and prioritize learning needs
  • Builds and maintains technical knowledge in adult learning, instructional design, instructional technology, and training delivery by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
  • As needed, provides technical support to projects in the areas of workshop facilitation, needs assessment, training plan development, and training evaluation to home or field office staff
  • Utilizes the Performance Learning Management System and other learning platforms to support e-learning and instructor led training activity planning and implementation
  • Actively participates in new business activities, including proposal teams, in major line roles as well as providing technical input related to training and development
  • Supervises direct report if appropriate, delegating and managing workload while supporting their professional development
  • Fosters and demonstrates a workplace inclusive of creating opportunity, serving others, building trust, innovation and exceeding expectations

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the required knowledge, skills, and/or abilities needed to perform the principal duties.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required. Master’s degree in relevant field preferred
  • Minimum 3 years of corporate and/or HR communications experience and/or technically relevant work experience required
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills with a proven ability to effectively engage a diverse group of stakeholders and beneficiaries
  • Strong analytical and data management skills to measure learning impact
  • Excellent writing, editing, communication skills, and ability to translate those skills into digital and social channels, for example, newsletters and other internal communications mediums (Yammer, Stream, SharePoint, blogs, vlogs, etc.) for diverse audiences
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills, photoshop or design skills desirable
  • Strong project management skills with a focus on planning, setting priorities, managing processes, and delivering results with minimal oversight, in a fast-paced environment with multiple partners and evolving prioritiesAbility to think creatively and contribute to the team’s overall vision of a globally accessible training platform
  • Flexibility and an ability to adjust to changing priorities and targets
  • Willingness to adapt to the changing needs and pressures of the team with composure and ingenuity
  • Knowledge and understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design
  • Knowledge/awareness of best practices of in adult learning, blended learning and development program design and management in developing country contexts preferred
  • Ability to liaise with global stakeholders across the company from all levels, executive to entry-level
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated leadership, versatility and integrity

Physical Requirements:

  • Regular attendance and availability during normal business hours are required
  • Ability to work in a normal office environment
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Work Conditions:

  • Normal office environment; usually moderate noise level
  • Occasional exposure to environmental conditions include exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions caused by the weather
  • Ability to travel and work abroad in less developed countries for at least 4 to 8 weeks a year
