Position Title: Marketing and Communications Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY & KEY PRIORITIES:
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator, reporting to the Digital Fundraising and Marketing Manager, supports the marketing team as the day-to-day liaison to Grameen’s global program teams. The individual in this role coordinates and executes marketing and community outreach in support of Grameen’s and key partners’ communications objectives.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Knowledge of website CMS and mass email marketing platforms, as well as managing social media for an organization. Excellent writing and editing skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will coordinate and implement various aspects of Grameen marketing and communications activities, including but not limited to:
● Create and post content for Grameen social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook). Assist in building out a social media calendar to coordinate program-related and fundraising/engagement content.
● Support virtual program events, including email invitation creation and delivery in Pardot, creating LinkedIn/Facebook events, coordinating with partner organizations, updating events page on Grameen website, and webinar attendance tracking.
● Develop, write, and post blogs, articles for monthly e-newsletter and quarterly print newsletter; emails, etc.
● Schedule and facilitate regular meetings with Program Managers to gain knowledge of program specifics and develop and manage communications calendars.
● Attend ongoing program launch/update meetings to become familiar with program-specific objectives, progress, and communications expectations.
● Help maintain the Grameen website.
● Contribute as needed to Grameen marketing and communication plans and strategies, including public relations, media relations, digital communications, storytelling, and branding
● Fulfill other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:● 2-4 years’ experience in marketing, communications, or related field, ideally (but not necessarily) for a nonprofit organization
● Excellent writing and interpersonal skills
● Experience with managing professional social media channels and, ideally, website and email marketing (WordPress or a similar CMS; Pardot, Constant Contact, MailChimp, Hubspot, or similar platforms), paired with a passion for staying current on digital marketing trends
● Ability to gain working knowledge of Grameen Foundation’s work internationally
● Ability to learn and adhere to key partners’ communications guidelines
● Enthusiastic, flexible, and creative problem solver with excellent attention to detail
● Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or similar design platforms preferred
AVAILABILITY:
Full time (40 hours); Remote. Must be available during U.S. business hours; flexible based on time zone.
EDUCATION
● Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, English, Journalism, Public Relations, International Relations, or related field. A working experience of the equivalent is also acceptable.
