Job Description
Chemonics seeks a Microsoft Office 365 product manager to join the Global Technology and Infrastructure division. The product manager will be responsible for the vision setting and execution of the Microsoft Office 365 suite of collaboration products (including but not limited to SharePoint, Teams, Yammer, Exchange, and OneDrive) and related productivity-based solutions. They will also lead the effort to expand our offerings to all the field offices and ensure our Digital Workplace productivity tools are meeting staff needs across the globe. The product manager will work with technical team members and stakeholders to ensure success of the product feature delivery and adoption, while providing technical leadership and innovation to internal and external clients. Responsibilities include:
Product Delivery

Drive the vision, strategy and roadmap for the Office 365 product in consultation with his/her supervisor and in coordination with the Global Technology and Infrastructure division (GTID) Team Leads and the CIO

Ensure adoption of enterprise tools throughout headquarters and field offices worldwide

Align Office 365 products with the overall IT enterprise architecture vision and goals

Lead product’s change management activities working with the Change Manager

Identify users, create and maintain user stories, and develop and prioritize functional requirements for new or revised features or enhancements
-
Serve as the product owner for Office 365 product or product features from evaluating the preview to rolling it out to the users worldwide. Make key decisions on priorities and design and work to ensure that all stakeholders are aligned

Develop a thorough understanding of the Office 365 suite of applications and their capabilities and stay abreast of product evolution

Identify appropriate cross-department/division stakeholders to be engaged at appropriate time

Understand both the engineering and business side of Office 365 and ultimately responsible for representing the end-user’s needs

As needed for initiatives within this scope, lead Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning Meetings, Sprint Reviews and Retrospectives, and oversee overall project activities throughout all phases of SDLC

Develop or contribute to development of job aids and training courses

Gather, analyze and, when appropriate, contribute or start to design the reengineering of business processes

Develop a thorough understanding of Chemonics’s business processes with an eye to applying Office 365 to solve corporate business challenges

Lead and manage UAT and deployment activities
-
Lead and manage project vendors to ensure timely deliverables within budget and scope

Develop and manage contractual documents

Proactively solve project issues promptly and effectively
-
Proactively lead and empower project team members to innovatively deliver product
-
Work effectively to ensure appropriate parties are involved and engaged to achieve project goals

Provide periodic communications to project sponsors, stakeholders and management

Lead software market research including RFI/RFP development, cost benefit analysis, and selection process
Technical Capacity, Management, and Leadership

Champion global collaboration and knowledge sharing best practices
-
Prioritize, improvise and adapt technologies to address changing business needs and issues
-
Provide project leadership and management consulting across the enterprise
-
Proactively provide input to the overall GTID work planning process
-
Proactively contribute to GTID organizational process improvement initiatives
-
Partner with business and GTID leaders to identify and prioritize opportunities for utilizing Office 365 capabilities
-
Participate in new business activities and other trainings offered to Chemonics staff to better understand business use cases and needs
-
Proactively identify process, technical or training issues and suggest solutions that GTID can implement
-
Take on leadership roles in problem solving and respond immediately to emergency situations
-
Proactively improve technical capabilities through trainings, workshops and events
-
Recommend strategies to streamline systems for effectiveness and efficiency, considering client needs, team dynamics, and division and corporate mission

Participate in internal or external professional associations and represent company at IT related conferences, events, and industry meetings when appropriate
-
Undertake assignments on projects or special initiatives as appropriate
-
Make presentations and train staff as needed through one-on-one mentoring, small group trainings, corporate training programs, and information dissemination as needed

Proactively communicate and liaise with other departments, units and individuals on joint planning and activities

Perform other duties and responsibilities as required
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree in job relevant field required.

Minimum 6 years of job-related experience required (prior IT project management experience in planning and implementing enterprise level systems, highly preferred)

Experience in Office 365 suite of tools, including but not limited to SharePoint Online, Groups, Teams, Yammer, Exchange and OneDrive required

Experience in requirement analysis and business process re-engineering required

Prior experience in agile methodologies (experience in product management) preferred
-
Advanced experience with Microsoft SharePoint, OneDrive file sync, and Microsoft Teams strongly preferred
-
Experience with data analysis using Power BI, Excel Pivot Tables, or other similar tools preferred

Ability to solve complex technical, managerial, or operational problems and evaluate options based on relevant information, resources, well-rounded experience, and knowledge

Ability to operate at advanced levels of authority and manage significant activities and resources to produce and take responsibility for results
-
Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and lead presentations, training courses, and effective meetings.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise staff and special initiatives

Demonstrated integrity, independent thinking, judgment, and respect for others

Willingness to travel and work abroad in less developed countries for at least 4 to 8 weeks per year
