Salary Range: $107,412-$178,259. Applies to locations with a market similar to our U.S. HQ in the Greater Seattle area. A different range may apply based on your work location. Please note the typical hiring range is $114,498- $142,837 a year. Job offers within the range are based on relevant job qualifications and pay equity. This range applies to many major U.S. cities. The Job:
World Vision is seeking a Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Director (MEL Director) for an anticipated project titled, “Strengthening immunization program implementation in sub-national consequential geographies,” which is funded by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The CDC seeks to partner with NGOs in a multi-country program to reach children in consequential geographies with routine immunizations and support health systems with capacity strengthening and resources for infectious disease surveillance.
The MEL Director will ensure high quality MEL for the CDC-funded project to identify and vaccinate zero and under-dose children, support polio eradication, measles mortality reduction and regional measles and rubella elimination, hepatitis B and maternal and neonatal tetanus elimination, and other vaccine-preventable diseases (VPD) surveillance; global laboratory networks for polio and measles/rubella; planning and implementation of supplemental immunization campaigns; and strengthening of immunization delivery systems and capacities in high priority countries.
S/he will work collaboratively with partners and countries implementing CDC-funded immunization program to ensure quality design, monitoring, evaluation, research and learning practices through technical assistance, training and proposal development/program implementation. Key aspects of the role include:
Recruitment is contingent upon successful award of the project. Selection of the final applicant is subject to CDC approval. The project is anticipated to begin in June 2024.

Maintain an up to date understanding of any Partnership-wide MEL policies/practices and evidence collection systems.

You Bring These Skills:
Experience in monitoring and evaluation and applied quantitative and qualitative research methods in relation to the management of development projects. International development work experience, including program design. Previous leadership experience preferred. English required, French or Portuguese language skills preferred. Experience overseeing multi-country program from remote location. Experience in remote management of multi-country program.
Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in related field or equivalent (10 years) work experience required, preferably with emphasis in statistics, economics or other field related to international development. In addition to education or education equivalent, requires International program work experience; 10 years.
