Job Description

Chemonics seeks a Multimedia Manager for the International Development Professional Training Hub (InDepth) initiative. The InDepth initiative aims to make learning accessible and relevant to our global workforce through a combination of classroom and online learning options. Our goal is to provide high-quality and dynamic content to ensure our global workforce is better connected, has work-related training at their fingertips, and is empowered to do their work efficiently and effectively. The Multimedia manager will enable Chemonics’ global workforce to understand, prepare for, and adopt the new learning hub. S/he will shoot and edit video, design visual infographics, and create animation and other multimedia content for courses that encourage engagement and enhance learning in an online environment. Responsibilities:
  • Work across Instructional Design, Curriculum & Instruction and User Experience teams to support and design multimedia production for new and revised courses
  • Meet and liaise with teams/clients to discuss briefs, requirements and project progress
  • Create video, animation, and graphics in conjunction with e-learning development using Chemonics graphic design protocol
  • Edit audio and video using appropriate tools
  • Develop terms of reference for external multimedia developers and oversee contractors and consultants, as requested.
  • Make technical recommendations; producing, demonstrating and receiving feedback about ideas
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and best-practices in the eLearning and instructional design community to aid experimentation
  • Develop and design creative video/interactive content for global learning platform
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s degree in relevant technical area or equivalent years of experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years of experience with graphic design and multimedia production
  • Demonstrated success in design, animation, and learner engagement
  • Demonstrated success in effective management of relationships and expectations
  • Familiarity with graphic design and instructional design tools related to adult learning and adoption preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to understand, speak, and read French or Spanish at a professional level preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Commitment to promoting meaningful change around the world, helping people live healthier, more productive, and more independent lives
