Job Description

The Project Development and Support Division (PDS) seeks an Operational Excellence Coordinator for the Global Operations and Improvement Department. The coordinator will play a key role on the Operational Excellence team in supporting business process management around the company in three primary ways: supporting the updating and maintaining of corporate resources in Chemonics’ resource library, the GlobalQMS; maintaining resource data and the systems and tools housing these for reporting and decision making; and providing internal project support at the request of other Operational Excellence team members. The coordinator will also assist with GO&I administrative tasks which may include meeting and training support, logistics, file management, reviewing and updating standard operating procedures, and maintenance of the department’s SharePoint sites.

Responsibilities include:

Updates, reviews, and publishes GlobalQMS business process resources and documentation as directed by other team members using Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office tools including Visio, and SharePoint; tracks completion of tasks; assists with communicating important process updates

Assists in maintaining the integrity of GlobalQMS data in our internal tools, systems, reports, and dashboards by reviewing and correcting missing or incorrect data in collaboration with other team members; assists with updating or building out new tools for reporting at the direction of other team members

Collaborates with Management System Support (MSS) team to ensure business process owner translation requests are tracked/coordinated

Supports internal corporate projects, change management initiatives, and process improvements at the direction of the Operational Excellence team

Updates the department’s internal standard operating procedures to reflect current system functionality and team best practices and policies in collaboration with other team members

Assists in maintaining and updating department and GlobalQMS SharePoint pages and lists

Coordinates meetings and trainings as needed including scheduling, preparing materials, taking notes, and following up on action items as needed

Fosters and demonstrates a workplace inclusive of creating opportunity, serving others, building trust, innovation and exceeding expectations

Performs proposal development work and participates in Chemonics’ technical practice networks as part of professional development as appropriate

Performs other duties and responsibilities as required

Qualifications:

One year in administration, operations, project management, or related field preferred

Associate degree or equivalent work experience required; Bachelor degree preferred

Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to multitask, work under tight deadlines, and learn new tasks

Demonstrated ability to work independently and to track and report on task progress

Knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel) required; familiarity with Microsoft Visio, Office365, Power BI, and SharePoint preferred

Interest in international development, quality or project management, or organizational development preferred

Demonstrated leadership, versatility and integrity

The Hourly Pay Range for this position is: $21.96 - $27.46.
