Position Title: Organizational Effectiveness Specialist, EPIC Project

Position Summary:

TRG is seeking a highly-motivated and dynamic individual to serve as an Organizational Effectiveness specialist. This individual will support an initiative that provides organizational development, facilitation, professional development, knowledge management, and communications services for a large international development agency working in the education sector.

The OE specialist will collaboratively plan, manage and implement activities under the Organizational Effectiveness Portfolio. This portfolio will co-design and co-facilitate with the project team and client innovative, creative, and effective approaches to strengthen individual staff, team, cross team and whole-of-office effectiveness in reaching education goals.

The ideal candidates will be able to draw upon the latest art and science of organizational change/transformation as well as draw upon the capacities and experiences of the client. S/he should have demonstrated capacity to work at different “levels”: global system, agency-institutional/bureau, office, teams, leadership, and staff. In addition, the ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of efficient work flow processes as well as the nuances of organizational culture change. S/he will have excellent oral and written communication skills. This position will work within a team to support a fast paced, multi-faceted U.S. Government (USG) funded project. Candidates must be able to prioritize tasks and work effectively both independently as well as part of a team.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

Organizational Effectiveness:

  • Support the project/client’s overall strategy on organizational effectiveness, and to help design and facilitate the practice of collaborative adaptive learning.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Team and 8 different work streams, co-facilitating their annual and quarterly planning and reflection/reviews, and serving as an advisor in their team development.
  • Collaborate with the project team and client to develop and implement: leadership development, management training, individual coaching, cross team synergies and overall office effectiveness.
  • Manage production of high quality technical documents
  • Plan, coordinate, and manage key meetings and events with education sector stakeholders
  • Ensure lessons learned and best practices for OE activities are clear and documented
  • Advise the office on the improvement of key work-flow processes and standard operating procedures.
  • Support webinars, workshops, dialogues, web-casts, social media outreach, and other engagement/communication modalities as a means to strategically and innovatively draw upon the views and experiences of country programs
  • Recommend processes and approaches for monitoring, evaluating, and learning vis-à-vis the organizational effectiveness strategy
  • Innovative ways to communicate and sustain the change process

Qualifications, Abilities, and Education Requirements:

  • A degree in Organizational Development or related field
  • 8+ years’ experience in executing successful OD strategies
  • Experience engaging with key stakeholders and building partnerships
  • Experience working with different OD tools and approaches with different clients
  • Excellent program/activity management skills
  • Advanced written and oral communication skills
  • Creative problem-solving and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Good team working skills;
  • Ability to deliver high quality products under pressure;
  • Excellent written and spoken English;
  • Approval to work in the United States

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Prior experience working with USAID or on USAID-funded contracts.
  • Experience adding and editing content on websites
  • Experience or interest in global education programs.
