Job Description

TSSP commenced in July 2007 and continues the Australian Government's long term commitment to the transport infrastructure sector in Papua New Guinea (roads, airports and ports). The Program operates under GoPNG leadership; policies, strategies, plans and systems. Assistance is being provided to strengthen the capacity of transport sub-sector organisations as well as supporting the development of a whole of sector approach. TSSP is seeking a suitably skilled and qualified expert consultant to provide short term assistance to the dynamic team in PNG.

As the Pavement Design and Materials Testing Consultant you will provide expert and high level technical advice to TSSP on the materials testing regime, materials test results and proposed pavement designs for the Wabag to Wapenamanda road project. You will work closely with the TSSP team so that an optimum pavement design is achieved for this project.

To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate substantial depth of experience and credibility in assessing and reporting on pavement design and materials testing, in both developed and developing countries.
