Job Description

  • Duty station: Copenhagen, Denmark

The interns will be supporting some of the different functions in PCG as per below high-level overview, depending on need, qualifications, and interest:

  • Change Management Stream:

    • Assist in implementing HR/Change Projects

    • Conduct research and analysis to support the HR/change management projects

    • Assist with stakeholder analysis and coordination

    • Support in Change Readiness Assessment evaluations

    • Drafting of communication materials (slides, presentations, information materials, emails)

    • Scheduling of events and planning meetings

    • Support in evaluating the status/impact of project implementation and deployment

    • Support in planning, designing and roll-out of our Change Capability Programme

    • Support in project planning and implementation of Change Agent Certification

    • Provide ad-hoc support to different change project teams as and when required within the scope of an intern role;

  • People Stream:

    • Talent Management

      • Support various Talent Management Initiatives: e.g. Junior Talent Programme, Support with Reassignment/Rehire of Project Managers project through administrative and communication support.

    • Diversity and Inclusion

      • Support the efforts around Gender Parity, e.g. support campaigns to Engage men in gender equality, establishing/ coordinating a network of men champions in UNOPS, communication around men engagement, allyship, etc.

      • Support efforts in disability inclusion, Duty of Care and wellbeing (reporting, consultations, best practices, etc)

      • Support our communications efforts and campaigns around gender parity, enabling environment, diversity and inclusion.

    • Learning and Development:

      • Processing documents for the corporate learning budget

      • Support with the translation implementation of courses in the Learning Management System (Learning Zone)

      • Support webinars for leadership programmes

    • Policy:

      • Support work on a gap analysis of Benefits and Entitlements policies

      • Support administration of policies (AIs - Administrative Instructions) to be inserted in UNOPS knowledge management system (PQMS)

    • Talent Outreach:

      • Support relevant outreach activities, such as posting vacancies announcements on job boards, inserting vacancies announcements in the weekly newsletter,

      • Support the coordination of the talent outreach network.

Education:

  • Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree or be pursuing an advanced university degree, such as a Masters or a PhD, or be a recent graduate from such studies (within the last 3 years);

  • Preferred area of study is one of the following: Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources, Social Sciences, Engineering, Physical/Natural Sciences, Data Science, Information and Communication Technology.

Experience:

  • While no professional experience is required for an internship, experience in the field of Change Management, Human Resources, Policy, Learning & Development, Talent Outreach, Diversity and Inclusion Finance, Business Process Management, Business Analytics, Marketing or similar fields is considered an asset;

  • Strong computer literacy: G Suite standard programs essential, in particular proficiency with Google Sheets and Google Slides are required.

  • Experience and interest in social justice, gender equality, diversity and inclusion is an asset.

  • Experience in advocacy or communications is considered an asset.

Language requirements:

  • Fluency in both written and oral English is required;
  • Knowledge of a second UN language (in particular French and/or Spanish) is an asset.
