Program Background
The Human Development Monitoring and Evaluation Services (HDMES) program provides the Australian Government and the Government of PNG with high quality advice and independent assessment about the performance of the Australian Government’s health, and education & leadership portfolios in PNG.
The HDMES leads reviews of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks and reports, conducts independent evaluations, and produces analysis and communication products. HDMES is funded by the Australian Government and is implemented by Adam Smith International and Clear Horizon through the PNGAusPartnership.
Position summary
The Policy and Research Officer (PRO) will work closely with the HDMES Team Leader, HDMES M&E Specialist (Health) and external consultants to support the Australian Government Health Security, and Education & Leadership investments in Papua New Guinea. The role will lead and support a range of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities, including undertaking reviews and evaluations, developing concept notes and supporting case studies, lead data collection and field missions and contribute to quantitative and qualitative analysis.

Applications for the role of Policy and Research Officer will be evaluated against the selection criteria outlined in the position description.
