Job Description

The Policy Coordinator shall be responsible for coordinating the project’s policy and planning activities within the project and between the project and the Ministry of Planning, Monitoring, and Administrative Reform (MPMAR) and the other stakeholders under the direct supervision of the EPSP’s Planning and Policy Senior Advisor.

Major Technical Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Communicate and liaise with MPMAR the EPSP’s activities and tasks.
  2. Facilitate the implementation of the EPSP’s activities and tasks in MPMAR and the other relevant stakeholders.
  3. Report on and update the EPSP’s management regarding the progress of the project’s activities and tasks implemented in MPMAR and the other relevant stakeholders.
  4. Provide advice and technical support in initiating, designing and implementing the project’s activities and tasks.
  5. Conduct analysis and prepare briefing materials, presentations, and technical notes on policy and planning issues and options.
  6. Provide support to the organization of EPSP’s events (conferences, workshops, and discussion sessions and meetings) in Cairo or out of Cairo.
  7. Perform other relevant duties and responsibilities as may deem necessary.
  8. Implement the above-mentioned duties and responsibilities either from EPSP’s office or from MPMAR’s premises or those of the project’s other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with research techniques and analysis, along with high level organizational and communication skills.
  • Postgraduate university degree in a relevant field preferably in Economics or public policy.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in policy and planning domain.
  • Experience in working with the government of Egypt’s institutions and organs.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic languages.
  • Excellent Writing skills in both Arabic and English language.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and productively with others to achieve desired results.
