USP seeks a consultant to act as a program coordinator for a potential 3-year project in DRC, where USP will provide assistance towards strengthening the maturity level of the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Authority (ACOREP), strengthening capacities of the National Quality Control Laboratory (LNCQ), and developing a strategy to strengthen local production of medicines and vaccines. The Program
Coordinator will provide in-country support for the day-to-day implementation of project activities by working with ACOREP, LNCQ, PDSS, and other stakeholders while coordinating closely with the project leadership and management team.
**This opportunity is connected to a proposal. Any consultant engagement is contingent upon contract award.**
Roles and Responsibilities
Potential tasks that the consultant/vendor will be responsible for carrying out include:
Qualifications
· University degree (minimum five years of higher education) in pharmaceutical sciences
· At least 5 years’ experience in coordinating similar technical assistance projects aimed at strengthening regulatory systems in the DRC.
· Practical experience in quality control and assurance and regulatory affairs.
· Good network of players in the pharmaceutical sector in the DRC.
· Based in the DRC, fluent in French and English (intermediate level)
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
