The Program Management Assistant is located in the Program Office. The Program Management Assistant is supervised by and serves as the personal assistant to the Supervisory Program Officer, operating independently of any other position in the performance of the full range of secretarial, protocol, and administrative functions essential to the efficient operation of the Program Office. The Project Management Assistant is the primary contact person responsible for Program Office customer service to internal and external partners and other stakeholders, including Mission staff, contractors and grantees and potential contractors and grantees, Implementing Partners (IPs), host-government officials, the Embassy, USAID/Washington, and other customers. In this capacity, the Project Management Assistant is responsible for coordinating information about the USAID Mission and making sure that information gets to customers on a timely basis and in a professional manner.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION
1. Education: At least two years of full-time post-secondary study (or the equivalent hours spread across a parttime study period) at college or university or an equivalent-level local qualification in management, business, social sciences, library science, information technology or equivalent is required.
2. Prior Relevant Work Experience: Three years of experience is required, specifically: experience with administrative systems in a professional setting, knowledge of filing conventions, general understanding of development programming terms and implementation, Zambian development challenges. To advance to the evaluation stage, applicants must meet the minimum qualification above. Applicants who do not meet all the education and experience requirements are considered not qualified and will not receive further consideration.
