Position Summary:
The Medical Donations (MD) In-Kind Program officer will provide programmatic assistance, logistical and administrative support for key activities in the Medical Donations program. Officer is responsible for managing “In-Kind donations, coordinate logistical and shipping arrangements for medical donations and supplies. Officer will track and manage shipping requirements for medical donations and supplies. Prepare weekly and monthly reports for donors, oversee, and resolve logistical challenges. Collaboratively work with donors to ensure obligatory requirements are met. Officer will also provide support to the business development team in proposal submission and reporting.
Duties & Responsibilities
● Manage logistical and shipping arrangements for medical donations according to customer requirements
● Conduct valuation of all medicines in every supply shipment by required deadlines
● Create, plan, track shipments to ensure timely delivery, and intercedes when necessary to resolve logistical challenges.
● Coordinate with in-country medical donation team to ensure accurate ordering of needed supplies
● Verify the donor-reported value of medical donations in a timely manner
● Create and accurately maintain logs and records of warehouse stock and supplies
● Monitor database management efforts, compile and verify historical program data
● Conduct relevant contextual research including: potential medical donation partners, best practices in the Gift In Kind (GIK) sector, as well as healthcare challenges in Anera’s areas of operation
● Copyediting reports to be sent to donors for various purposes
● Data collection and analysis, focusing on health outcomes for programs
● Create visuals with Excel and other data visualization platforms
● Edit seasonal and annual reports for various programs
● Conduct research, both technical and financial, for business development opportunities in various regions and practice areas
● Assist with proposal review and delivery
Qualifications
● 3-5 years of experience in supply management, shipping and logistical arrangements of “In-Kind” donations or equivalent
● Knowledge of the Middle East specifically Lebanon, Jordan and Palestine
● Bachelor’s degree or at least 5-7 years of equivalent experienced required
● Intermediate to advance experience with spreadsheets
● Experience writing and editing technical reports, as well as presenting findings to donors agency leaders
● Proven organization and time management skills with excellent attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
● Arabic proficiency preferred
● Experience using and managing the Google suite of cloud products
● Background in Public Health or other health-related fields
Travel:
● This role requires up to 25% international travel
