Job Description

SUMMARY OF THE PROJECT
CAP RED is Australia’s flagship development program in Cambodia and is informed by extensive consultations with key stakeholders in the Royal Government of Cambodia (RGC) and the private sector.
Building on a 70‐year legacy of Australia’s investment in Cambodia’s economic and human development, CAP RED focuses on three pillars: Agriculture and Agro‐processing, Trade, Investment and Enterprise Development, and Infrastructure Services. Gender equality, disability and social
inclusion (GEDSI) will be integrated into all our activities.
The CAP RED program is funded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and implemented by Cowater International.

SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
CAP RED is seeking a qualified English Editor and Proofreader to provide remote editing and proofreading services for various publications and documents. This is a long‐term agreement covering a period of 12 months from February 1, 2023 to January 31, 2024.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The qualified service provider is expected to provide support to CAP RED in English editing and
proofreading to produce a wide range variety of reports and deliverables, including:

  • Annual reports
  • Annual workplans
  • Six‐monthly reports
  • Progress reports
  • Program exit reports
  • Technical reports
  • Policy recommendations/briefs
  • Marketing publications
  • Website content
  • Impact stories and field visit articles
  • Video scripts
  • Other documents and reports as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Native English language skills, or fluency for non‐native English speakers
  • Significant English language proofreading and editing experience for a range of native English speaking clients
  • Strong interpersonal skills and proven record of delivering work on time.
  • Experience editing technical documents in development, agriculture, infrastructure, trade and investment, or GEDSI will be advantageous
  • Experience working in or knowledge of Cambodia will be advantageous

Proposals including the Response Form must be submitted no later than 5pm (Phnom Penh time), Monday 16 January 2023 by email to rfp@capred.org with “English editing and proofreading service – RFP22‐003”in the subject line.

Please submit the Response Form in English language (form provided separately), with an indication of a daily rate for each task/service as per section C. The rate should include any and all costs to carry out the work in the specified location. In addition to the proposal fee, the applicant should also detail any other relevant assumptions or required terms.
