Senior Executive Adviser – Health and HIV Implementation Service Provider (HHISP)
Program Overview
The Health and HIV Implementation Service Provider (HHISP) is an Australian Government funded project that supports the implementation of the Health and HIV programs on behalf of the Australian Government, through the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) and Government of Papua New Guinea (GoPNG), with its overarching objectives being to improve maternal and child health outcomes and deliver increased health and HIV services to the rural majority and high risk populations in support of the Partnership for Development Outcomes. The project is managed by Abt Associates in association with the Burnet Institute.
The Opportunity
The Senior Executive Adviser will support the Office of the Secretary for Health and the Deputy Secretary NHP&CS in the effective delivery of operational, strategic and reform matters in accordance with the National Health Plan and the NDoH Corporate Plan. The Senior Executive Adviser’s primary responsibility is to support the office of the Secretary for Health. However, the Senior Executive Adviser will also be required to provide support to the office of the Deputy Secretary NHP&CS. There is a HHISP adviser specifically for the Deputy Secretary NHSS and other HHISP advisory support to the senior executive staff (e.g. legal, internal audit, policy/planning).
