Senior Human Resources & Administration Manager (Oxfam GB)
Port-au-Prince, Haiti
£25,565 – £34,957 net p.a.
OXFAM is increasing its aid effort in Haiti to reach more and more people. Recovery will be a long process but our combined operational experience of almost 5 years of working in Haiti together with our expertise in areas such as cash-for-work projects, water and sanitation, means we’re well positioned to provide the right support. By adding your expertise you can help us make the biggest possible difference to people’s lives across the country.
The role
You’ll manage and develop all things HR to enable our humanitarian response and wider country programmes to operate effectively. As well as having overall responsibility for people, assets and budgets, you’ll provide coaching and specialist advice to HR staff and the wider senior management team. It will be down to you to ensure our HR strategy reflects the realities of life on the ground and is fully capable of delivering over the medium term.
What we’re looking for
An experienced HR professional, you’ll be someone who can inspire confidence in others, with the credibility to influence senior management. Ideally, you’ll hold a relevant professional qualification. You’ll certainly have acquired the skills required to develop solutions to complicated HR problems in ways that meet the needs of both individuals and the organisation. Experience of working with government departments, particularly the labour Office and Immigration, will be an advantage. This role also demands strong communication skills, including fluency in both French and English.
