Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join the leadership team and make a difference by consolidating Maluk Timor’s place as a key partner in strengthening primary health care in Timor-Leste. Our focus is on primary care workforce development, health systems strengthening, co-delivery of services with eventual handover, and community health.

The position reports to the Executive Director and work closely with the Non-Communicable Disease Clinical Advisor and Grant Manager and the Program Managers to provide technical advice and oversight for AMT’s work including:

•Providing clinical input to program design, content and delivery

•Monitoring and optimising program quality

•Measuring impact of programs

•Advising on clinical strategic priorities for AMT having regard to existing and future health needs inTimor-Leste and AMT capabilities

•Supporting the development of new program proposals and funding applications

Job requirements

•A recognised medical degree and college fellowship (or equivalent)

•Full, unconditional medical registration

•Strong communication and interpersonal skills

•Commitment to professional development (self and others) and quality improvement

•Experience working in the NGO sector and/or health system management would be beneficial.

•Experience working in a developing, resource restricted health system would be highly regarded

.•International experience would be highly regarded

•Good fluency in English is required and commitment to fluency in Tetum.

The role is based in Dili and may require travel from time to time to other municipalities within Timor-Leste. The initial contract period is 12 months. We are open to discussing flexible work arrangements.

A salary package will be will be offered based on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.
