What you’ll do: You will provide technical assistance and implementation support to global and country-based projects in the areas of high quality maternal, newborn, child health (MNCH); family planning (FP); reproductive health (RH); and integrated health services. You will work directly with Corus International Country Directors, Project Directors, and Senior Regional Directors, as well as local partners and stakeholders, such as the Ministry of Health and project implementing partners, to manage and support cutting-edge interventions for MNCH among the communities in the projects’ target populations. A high percentage of your time you will provide surge capacity/backstopping to the USAID-funded Momentum Integrated Health Resilience (MIHR) project, as well as backstopping to several Corus projects focusing on MNCH. You must be available for international short-term technical assistance travel and occasional temporary duty deployments of 1-3 months or longer.

About The Ideal Candidate: You are a recognized leader and manager who is passionate about maternal, newborn, and child health, recognized in your field, and experienced in providing technical and implementation skills capacity building at all levels with various partners, including in fragile contexts. You can champion Corus International’s growth and leadership in MNCH programming.

Requirements:

· Master’s degree in public health or a related field; clinical experience preferred

· Fluency in written and spoken French

· 10 years of MNCH work experience, of which 3 years have been in community-based MNCH project or implementing relevant health-based community development programs.

· At least 7 years of senior-level project management experience; USAID-funded project management experience strongly preferred.

· At least 5 years of experience in providing technical assistance for implementation of high impact practices to support MNCH, FP, and RH programs in LMICs, with specific experience in conflict, post- conflict, and fragile settings.

· Proven technical knowledge in the areas of MNCH, FP, and RH, including familiarity with MNCH project indicators, quantitative and qualitative data to monitor overall project performance.

· Experience working with multiple donors, including USAID, FCDO, and others, with specific familiarity with USAID’s administrative, management, and reporting procedures and systems.

· Demonstrated experience and skills in providing capacity strengthening assistance at individual and organizational levels with deep knowledge of emerging issues in relation to capacity strengthening in the global health context.

· Excellent diplomacy skills and a proven ability to establish and maintain interpersonal and professional relationships with donors, host-country counterparts, and representatives from other key stakeholders such as NGOs, CSOs, and the private sector.

· Excellent oral and written communication skills in English, analytical skills, interpersonal, team management, leadership, and decision-making skills—including the ability to communicate across cultures effectively and respectfully.

· Ability to work with a high level of independence, using own initiative and delivering high quality products on time.

· Ability to travel internationally on technical assistance or deployments that may be short or medium term (up to three months).
