The role
We are currently seeking an experienced Stakeholder Engagement Specialist to work closely with our specialists in our Team, providing environmental and social oversight consultant in Benin.
Key Responsibilities

- Delivers an integrated and synchronized approach.
- Create key stakeholder awareness and understanding.

Key Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Master degree in the social sciences or a related discipline (anthropology, sociology, women’s studies, public policy, community development, etc.).
- 10 years+ of professional experience.
- 10 years+ of experience in related field of international experience in community relations/stakeholder engagement, demonstrated experience with IFC performance standards, integrating considerations of marginalized people/communities into large scale infrastructure projects, including resettlement, compensation and livelihood restoration efforts focused on participatory planning.
- Significant experience in developing countries, experience working directly in either Francophone West Africa and/or the power sector would be considered a plus.
- Demonstrate familiarity with application of international best practice and methodology, preferably with experience relevant to energy projects, experience working with participatory community development and consultative methods.
- Able to work closely with local counterpart personnel and the public at large.
- Fluency in French
