About the role
Responsible for developing and delivering strategic and cross-functional business planning to ensure key activities and resources are appropriately directed towards achievement of CEPI’s business priorities and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop actionable strategic plans that integrate objectives, milestones and deliverables across different departments and workstreams.
- Track and report progress of delivery against plans, and highlight issues, risks and areas requiring resolution and/or replanning.
- Ensure ongoing alignment between strategy plan, organisational priorities and department plans and facilitate knowledge management by capturing best practices and lessons learned throughout CEPI’s business cycle.
- Ensure a strong annual planning process where planning, budget, operations, resourcing and risk management activities are integrated.
- Maintain alignment between CEPI’s long-term strategic planning activities and CEPI’s annual planning and monitoring process, to ensure business priorities enable achievement of long-term strategic goals.
- Support the preparation and delivery of internal or external planning meetings and events, including; drafting and finalizing of formal communications including emails, letters, surveys etc. to external and internal parties, supporting the preparation of documents and presentations, supporting the tracking and analysis of decisions and their implementation.
- Evolve processes, systems and tools supporting strategic and business planning.
Education, Experience and Competence
- 1-3 years experience in business and/or strategic planning, ideally in an R&D setting (including industry, global health or management consultancy.
- Strong cross-disciplinary collaboration and communication abilities.
- Knowledge of planning methodologies and tools.
- Able to prioritize and perform multiple tasks with strong attention to details while meeting deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable with senior executives and stakeholders.
- Proactive and can-do attitude, takes accountability for delivery.
- High degree of integrity and confidentiality.
- Essential: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in life sciences, economics, business administration or relevant subject.
- Essential: Proficient in MS Office and comfortable with applying new IT tools across tasks.
- Essential: Experience in business planning approaches.
- Strong written and verbal English language skills.
- Ability to adapt and work within a multicultural, multidisciplinary environment.
Travel and Location Requirements
- Position based in either London, UK, or Oslo, Norway.
- Travel to other CEPI offices as assigned.
