This position is located in the Washington, DC Commuting Area within the Office of Security(SEC), Intelligence & Counterintelligence Division (ICI), at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
Duties:
- The incumbent provides policy, oversight and direction to the Agency for all aspects of the Agency?s intelligence analysis, counterintelligence, insider threat, and counterterrorism vetting programs and policies.
- Supervises a group of professional and technical positions engaged in performing a variety of counterterrorism, counterintelligence work in support of the Divisions programs in grades up to the GS-14 level.
- Develops processes for analyzing, controlling, and disseminating intelligence and investigative information for the Agency?s counterterrorism, counterintelligence, insider threat, and related programs.
- Exercises a broad degree of independence and applies authoritative judgment in developing and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders in government, private industry, and academia.
- Serves as Intelligence Staff Officer, senior analyst and advisor to Director/SEC, senior liaison of USAID on international terrorism, intelligence and counterintelligence (CI). Conducts liaison and information exchange with senior law enforcement.
- Prepares budget justifications based on projections of personnel, facilities, and equipment needs. Analyzes operational, and equipment reports and identifies potential improvements. Ensures funds are properly allocated and spent in a timely manner.
