This position is located at the USAID Annex, 500 D Street, SW, Washington, DC in the Bureau for Global Health, Office of HIV/AIDS(OHA), Strategic Information Evaluation and Information Division(SIEI) at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). This is a Deputy Division Chief position and it reports to the SIEI Division Chief.
DutiesSpecialized Experience:
GS-15: In addition to the Selective Placement Factors, YOU MUST have one year of specialized supervisory experience equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Examples of qualifying specialized experience at the next lower level for this position include: a) Demonstrated program leadership and staff management experience to advance goals, and program outcomes for strategic information, health information systems and/or data science for USAID, PEPFAR and/or U.S. government (USG) programs in low or lower-middle income countries; b) Demonstrated experience in advising USG, host-county or external stakeholders in the field of strategic information, health information systems and/or data science for program planning and implementation in low or lower-middle income countries; C) Demonstrated program design and management experience for USG or other donor funded activities relevant to strategic information, health information systems and/or data science, including conceptualization for activity design and implementation in low or lower-middle income countries; AND D) Demonstrated ability in data analytics, monitoring and evaluation, and dissemination of key findings, cutting edge methodologies, and best practices related to strategic information, health information systems and/or data science.
SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR:
This position includes a Selective Placement Factor (skill, knowledge, ability or other worker characteristic basic to - and essential for - satisfactory performance of the job). Selective Placements Factors are a prerequisite to appointment and represent minimum requirements for a position. Applicants who do not meet it are ineligible for further consideration. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, relevant to the duties of the position to be filled, including volunteer experience.

Well-qualified means an eligible employee who possesses the knowledge, skills, and abilities which clearly exceed the minimum requirements of the position.
