Position Summary:

The Mitchell Group, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Analyst and forced labor subject matter expert to support research and policy initiatives focused on forced labor risks within supply chains, with a special focus on Asia. The ideal candidate will combine expertise in supply chain human rights due diligence, international and national forced labor standards, and current approaches and gaps in industry, civil society, and government efforts to address forced labor and improve supply chain visibility. The role requires strong research, writing, and policy analysis, providing actionable insights that inform report production and compliance efforts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth research, critical studies, and special projects to inform policy decisions and enhance organizational effectiveness related to forced labor supply chain regulatory enforcement.
  • Develop responses to inquiries and requests from internal sources and external groups, including other government agencies and industry stakeholders, ensuring alignment with regulatory and strategic objectives
  • Synthesize and analyze complex literature and emerging research to provide actionable insights and data-driven recommendations

Qualifications:

  • Subject matter expertise in International Labor Organization (ILO) forced labor standards with a clear knowledge of evidenced-based best practice for addressing forced labor, including debt-bondage, human trafficking, state-sponsored, and recruitment-based forced labor.
  • Knowledge of U.S. forced labor regulatory enforcement and supply chain requirements.
  • Knowledge of East Asian manufacturing forced labor risk and barriers to supply chain visibility.
  • Demonstrated capacity to carry out responsibilities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, requiring exceptional analytical rigor, responsiveness to evolving priorities, and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Able to complete key responsibilities proficiently and as a part of a team
  • Fluent in English and relevant critical language skills (spoken and written- Khmer, Mandarin, or Vietnamese)

· Ability to obtain a security clearance (U.S. citizenship and ability to perform the work of this position from a location within the United States).
