Project Summary:

Cowater is currently recruiting a field based Team Leader for an upcoming tender in Mozambique. The objective of the project is increase energy access through innovative private sector provision of, and investment in, off grid renewable energy in Mozambique.

Required Qualifications:

• A Masters degree in a related field;
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams for large ($10 million or greater) projects ideally in Sub-Saharan Africa, or in other least-developed countries;
• Applied experience in the renewable energy sector, ideally the off-grid solar sector. Experience both in solar mini grids, solar home systems, and thermal cookstoves are all strong assets, although all three technology areas are not required;
• Experience advising governments in policy design and formulation, ideally in the renewable energy sector;
• Experience in capacity building to small and medium-sized enterprises, including provision of business skills and knowledge of business models..

Assets:

• Previous experience in Mozambique;
• Fluency in Portuguese.
