This Proposal Opportunity:
The goal of FCDO’s TDDAP2 programme is to implement the UK’s vision for progress on health security. The programme will contribute to the reduction of illness and death from infectious disease threats in African populations and globally, with a particular focus on women and girls. The programme will provide technical assistance to national governments and regional bodies and will establish long-term partnerships between African, UK and global public health institutions. The programme will support regional and sub-regional bodies, which could include the Africa Centre for Disease Control and the East Africa Regional Co-ordinating Centre and will provide support to a small number of countries with evidence of need and strategic importance to the UK. The Team Leader will provide support and oversight of team, donor and other stakeholder management as well as leading strategic programme delivery. The Team Leader will have experience managing large and complex health programmes, with a technical focus on health systems strengthening, health security, and infectious disease. Lastly, this position will have experience working across Africa – namely: Malawi, Uganda, DRC, Ghana and/or Kenya.
TDDAP2 has four components:
This role will be in relation to component 1, National and Community Technical Assistance.

Location:
This position is based in Africa, regional, with frequent travel. Preferred locations are Uganda or Kenya.
Reporting and Supervision:
