Tourism Expert

CDM International Inc. (CDM Smith) is a US-based engineering firm that provides engineering services on infrastructure projects throughout the world.
Project Description
CDM Smith is planning to submit proposals for an ADB-funded opportunity for the Project Coordination Office (PCO) of the Regional Urban Development Project (RUDP), Department of Urban Development and Building Construction (DUDBC) to select a set of bankable priority urban development projects via performance/preparation of pre-feasibility studies, feasibility studies, and detailed project reports for the West Urban Corridor (WUC) and East Urban Corridor (EUC) projects. This project is taking an “urban corridor” approach to unlock urban development and prosperity, enhance tourism development and diversify/improve economic activity. Should CDM Smith be selected for one of the two projects, it is expected that our contract will run from August 25, 2021 to August 25, 2023.
The WUC project office will be in the Lumbini area of Nepal.
The EUC project office will be based in the Biratnagar area of Nepal.
15-20 administrative and technical staff will be based in each project office in support of the project.
Additional staff will visit on a short-term basis.
The project office(s) will be backed by resources in our office in Kathmandu.
Scope of Work
Reporting to the Nepal Team Leader, the Tourism Expert will be part of a team of long-term and short-term professionals. The Tourism Expert is a Key Personnel position and will perform a variety of duties in compliance with CDM Smith and Client policies and procedures.
The Tourism Expert will be responsible for providing support for the Project, as described below:
