Job Description
EnCompass LLC has an ongoing need for consultants who are Virtual Training Producers! The Virtual Training Producer will manage all the technical components of individual virtual trainings utilizing AdobeConnect and Zoom web conferencing software. This involves preparing for virtual training deliveries with clients and EnCompass staff, maintaining visual and audio system performance, providing immediate technical support to attendees, and participating in ongoing training to strengthen software expertise. S/He will work directly with many EnCompass staff members, partners, and clients in the UN, U.S. government, NGO and corporate sectors.
The Virtual Training Producer is a consultant who can be located anywhere, with a reliable, secure, high-speed internet connection. Preference for individuals located in Asia, Africa and Europe due to time zone diversity is strongly preferred.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
The Virtual Training Producer will provide detailed technical support for customized, highly-interactive virtual experiences. S/He will be expected to establish and maintain excellent relationships with partners and clients, work efficiently and effectively under pressure, be able to use good judgment in all decisions and work independently as well as in a team. The primary areas of responsibility are:
- Prepare for training
- Learn and/or familiarize themselves with all technical components of AdobeConnect web conferencing software (training provided)
- Liaise with facilitators to prepare facilitator/producer scripts, offering suggestions for interactivities and timing
- Prepare for training delivery by reviewing materials, attending rehearsals and confirming all necessary technical configurations.
- Create and design virtual rooms in Adobe Connect and Zoom utilizing breakout rooms, layouts, whiteboards, and polls
- Develop materials for virtual sessions including: slides, producer guides, facilitator guides, and participant guides
- Conduct pre-session technical checks with participants and resolve an issues encountered
- Manage training delivery
- Make changes to in-progress virtual sessions using Adobe Connect’s prepare mode, troubleshooting and resolving audio and connection issues during virtual sessions
- Manage technical support during training delivery by providing audio and visual support to attendees and speakers.
- Establish positive working relationships with clients, partners and consultants as well as apply professional inter-cultural awareness with all attendees
- Provide in-depth notes and debrief materials
- Edit recordings of virtual sessions
- Provide detailed account of meetings from technical perspective
- Export outputs of meeting
- Participate in ongoing training to improve expertise in software use and customer support improvement
- Attend periodic software training with Producer team
- Maintain high-level familiarity of all features needed to conduct flawless virtual deliveries
- Stay in communication regarding schedule and timing of deliveries
- Explore new technologies and propose updates to the work of EnCompass
Position Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or 5 years’ experience providing complex technical support

- Experience delivering highly-interactive virtual learning programs, webinars, or virtual meetings or providing effective virtual customer support via phone or chat (training provided but experience preferred)
- Ability to learn new software features quickly and effectively
- High familiarity of various software applications: word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, web and email applications (Microsoft Office preferred)
- Ability to establish and maintain working relationships virtually with a diverse group of staff and consultants; very strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks, producing quality products within tight time constraints
- Thrive in an environment with multiple changing deadlines and working alongside multiple working styles
- Demonstrated experience in working on multiple priorities consecutively and sequentially and meeting quality standards for accuracy, attention to detail, and timeliness
- Ability to work independently and also as a member of a team
- Able to work at different times in different time zone
Desired Experience and Skills
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the features of AdobeConnect, WebEx, Zoom, or other web conferencing tools
- Proficiency in French, Spanish, or Portuguese
- Experience in graphic design
- Experience using Animoto or video editing software to create basic videos.
- Experience in training facilitation
- Experience working with organizations with an international focus is strongly recommended
