Your Mission Overview of the Position
  • Position: Women Empowerment Project (WEP) Intern

  • Contract Details: Based on the period specified by the university

  • Location: Children’s Home Development Network Foundation, Chiang Mai, Thailand

  • Supervised by: Women Empowerment Project (WEP) Manager

  • Start Date: As soon as possible

Women Empowerment Program (WEP) interns will be actively involved in fieldwork, including visiting target groups, supporting training sessions, and evaluating project outcomes. Interns will work closely with the WEP team to ensure the smooth and efficient implementation of the project while gaining hands-on experience in social project management.

Scope of Responsibilities
  • Support fieldwork activities to reach and engage project participants.

  • Assist in facilitating training sessions, such as tailoring workshops, financial management training, and confidence-building activities.

  • Monitor participant progress and collect data to track the project’s impact.

  • Provide administrative and documentation support for project management.

  • Assist in preparing reports and other documents to ensure project transparency and effectiveness.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in community development, program implementation, and impact assessment while contributing to meaningful social change. The selected intern will work closely with the WEP team to support training facilitation, program coordination, beneficiary outreach, and monitoring and evaluation processes.

Role and Responsibilities

The intern’s key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assisting in outreach activities to identify and engage potential program beneficiaries.

  • Supporting the facilitation of training sessions, including financial literacy, vocational skills (such as sewing and handicrafts), and confidence-building workshops.

  • Contributing to data collection, progress tracking, and program impact assessments.

  • Providing administrative and logistical support for program activities, including documentation and reporting.

  • Collaborating with the WEP team to ensure the effective execution of program initiatives and adherence to best practices.

Your Profile Required Qualifications and Experience
  • Currently in the 3rd or 4th year of a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Gender Studies, Development Studies, International Relations, Political Science, Sociology, or a related field.

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.

  • Passion for gender equality, women’s empowerment, and community development.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment and adapt to dynamic program needs.

  • Experience in data collection, reporting, and research methodologies is an asset.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with email and scheduling tools.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage workload within tight deadlines.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Open-minded and interested in NGO work and cross-cultural engagement.

Language Requirements
  • Fluent in Thai (speaking and writing)

  • Intermediate proficiency in English
