HANDS is a nonprofit that tackles development issues across Pakistan including health care; education; food security; livelihoods; water, sanitation, and health; resilient infrastructure; and social development.
Backed by funders including the Gates Foundation, USAID, UNICEF, CARE, Oxfam, Shell, and others, it has carried out a range of development activities including health services through its 26 health facilities, interest-free loans and grants to boost agricultural productivity, a reverse osmosis plant to reduce water-borne illnesses, providing alternative energy sources such as solar power to communities, and a scholars academy and adult literacy program.
