Where governments cannot provide, the private sector must step in — particularly in the case of global health, as we’ve seen with the ongoing Ebola outbreak in West Africa.
In this video interview, Jeff Sturchio, president and CEO of global health strategy firm Rabin Martin, explains how the private sector is contributing to global health efforts.
Sturchio suggests three ways the private sector is helping to achieve development outcomes, citing the experiences of Novartis in India, Astrazeneca in Kenya and Merck for Mothers in several African countries.
