The fight against neglected tropical diseases continues to be a challenging one.

Global philanthropy has been filling some of the funding gaps left by public and private research and development. Yet there’s huge potential in engaging the private sector, says Ellen Agler, CEO of the END Fund, in a video interview with Devex.

The END Fund is a global coordination platform that seeks to raise $100 million in private capital and enable private foundations, philanthropists and corporations to act swiftly to support efforts to rid the world of neglected tropical diseases by 2020.
