A response by OECD’s Carsten Staur to civil society open letter of June 3

To the members of the DAC CSO Reference Group,

Your June 3 open letter raises several issues related to international development cooperation and the role of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development’s Development Assistance Committee, some of which are slightly off the mark.

Let me first briefly recall the actual mandate and role of the Development Assistance Committee — what the DAC is and what it is not.
