The Asian Development Bank and AusAID will team up to help execute an initiative aimed at enhancing and standardizing auditing processes in the Pacific. The two development institutions will disburse a combined USD1.9 million for the program. “The Pacific Regional Audit Initiative will help ensure that public accounts of participating countries are audited in a timely manner,” ADB Senior Financial Management Specialist Barry Reid. “It will also strengthen the governance and anticorruption orientation of ADB programs and projects in the Pacific.” (“Japan, ADB, Australia Join Forces to Standardize Audit Process in Pacific” - Asian Development Bank, Nov. 12, 2008)
