The Asian Development Bank will provide additional financing to help Bangladesh cope with the economic slump and implement its development programs, ADB President Haruhiko Kuroda
. The bank intends to tap its $3 billion countercyclical support facility to back the increased assistance for Bangladesh. The South Asian nation also stands to receive some $800 million in annual ADB aid over the next three years, up from $600 million a year during the 2006-2008 period.
