The African Development Bank has provided $8.6 million to the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa for the construction of a regional air traffic center in Rwanda.
The construction of the surveillance center is part of a broader information & communication technology initiative in the country. The center is expected to help Rwanda’s air transport sector cope with the rising volume of traffic it receives. The project also aims to improve safety in the country’s air navigation through the use of modern technologies.
