AfDB Helps Alleviate Poverty in Cape Verde

Cape Verde will benefit from a USD7.4 million loan from the African Development Bank for its second poverty reduction program, according to

. The regional lender is confident that the African country will achieve the Millennium Development Goals by 2015. AfDB, which currently supports five development projects in Cape Verde, has so far provided some USD182 million for the nation's 38 projects.
