Africa is putting its young people front and center in the latest efforts to advance health security on the continent in the post-COVID-19 world.
With over 60% of its population under the age of 25 — they are also expected to make up 42% of the global youth population by 2030 — the continent is a leading example of the global demographic shift toward younger generations.
In a bid to tap into the power of this demographic, the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention has launched health initiatives targeting the youth.
