Albania Road Project Secures USD59M Loan From EIB

The European Investment Bank signed its biggest loan for Albania worth 50 million euros (USD59 million) on June 4 to finance the ongoing rehabilitation of secondary and local roads network, according to a press release by EIB. The total cost of the project is estimated at 140 million euros and is being co-financed by the European Commission and European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. It forms part of the Western Balkans Investment Framework and is managed by the Albanian Development Fund.
