But Alex Amouyel is here to tell you that finding a life of meaning is not only possible, but that anyone can do it. As someone with an unorthodox career trajectory herself — she initially wanted to be a cancer researcher before discovering she lacked the necessary passion for pipetting — Amouyel’s thesis is that the people who have made the biggest impacts don’t possess superhuman intelligence or start out with billions of dollars. They’re just normal people.
