Ask Devex: How to find a telecommuting position in global development

Ask Devex tackles personal career questions

Kate Warren, Devex senior director and editor of careers and recruiting, invited development professionals to submit their own pressing questions in this month’s installment of our “Ask Devex” series. Having spent a decade of her career working in development recruitment, Warren knows that navigating a successful development career path can be daunting.

Devex members put her knowledge to the test, inquiring whether teaching abroad is a good way to gain development experience, for instance. Warren gave advice on how to translate a background in national policy and on how a background in communications could be a boon for someone hoping to transition to monitoring and evaluation.
