A Canadian based in Barcelona, Sam has worked as a freelance journalist for more than 10 years, covering a mix of humanitarian development, conflict and post conflict zones as well as human-interest stories. Her work has taken her to places such as Ghana, Niger, Fiji, Argentina, Israel, Lebanon, Greece, the Turkish-Syrian border, Pakistan, and Panama, among others. Her work has been published in USA Today, VICE Magazine, the Advocate Verge Magazine and Devex. She also hosts Barcelona’s only English radio show, which airs weekly.
